Vaser Lipo in Brazil: What the Technology Adds and Its Limits

Vaser is an ultrasound-assisted liposuction technology that can help define body contour, particularly in areas where more precise sculpting is desired. At Belvivere Plastic Surgery, in Criciúma, Santa Catarina, Dr. June Favarin and Dr. Eduardo Favarin bring 20 years of experience and have cared for more than 8,000 patients from Brazil and other countries, with procedures performed in a hospital setting.

What Vaser Adds — and What It Does Not Replace

Vaser technology can make fat removal more selective and may help with skin retraction in some patients, but it does not replace good surgical judgment about who is a candidate, how much fat can safely be removed, or realistic outcomes for loose skin. This is assessed individually, not by the technology alone.

The Procedure and Its Risks

The procedure is performed under anesthesia in an accredited hospital. As with any liposuction technique, risks include irregularities, changes in sensation, seroma, burns from the ultrasound energy if used improperly, and, less commonly, more serious complications — all discussed individually before surgery.

Recovery

Recovery typically involves a compression garment for several weeks, gradual return to activity, and follow-up visits to monitor healing and contour. Our team provides a realistic recovery timeline during the consultation and follows up in person during your stay in Criciúma.

Planning Your Visit
