Combining eyelid, brow, facelift and neck procedures may create a more balanced result when several regions contribute to facial aging. It also increases operative scope, swelling and recovery demands. The decision to combine or stage surgery must be individualized rather than presented as a comprehensive package.
What each region may require
| Region | Possible concern | Possible procedure |
|---|---|---|
| Brow and temple | Brow descent or upper-eyelid heaviness related to brow position | Video-assisted brow or upper-face surgery |
| Eyelids | Skin excess, bags, ptosis, support or volume loss | Individualized Hybrid Blepharoplasty |
| Midface | Tissue descent, hollowing or lid–cheek imbalance | Selected video-assisted lift, facelift component or microfat |
| Lower face | Jowls and jawline loss | SMAS or Deep Plane facelift |
| Neck | Skin, platysma, superficial or deep fullness | Neck Lift or selected Deep Neck treatment |
Benefits of a combined plan
One anesthetic and one recovery period may be practical, and treating connected regions can avoid a mismatch between refreshed eyelids and untreated lower-face descent. However, not every visible change requires correction. Each additional component needs its own indication.
When staging may be safer or clearer
Staged treatment may be appropriate when operative time or medical risk would become excessive, when the diagnosis is uncertain, when previous injectables require assessment, or when the patient prefers a more limited recovery. It can also help determine whether one procedure sufficiently addresses the main concern.
Risks and recovery
Combined surgery can produce more swelling, bruising, dry eye, tightness and temporary limitation of facial movement. Risks include hematoma, infection, eyelid malposition, skin-healing problems, asymmetry, contour irregularity, nerve dysfunction and revision. A broader procedure is not automatically better or more durable.
International logistics
International patients need a companion, accommodation and enough time for early examinations. Belvivere performs indicated operations through Hospital São José and provides concierge support. At least 15 days in Brazil is generally planned after major full-face surgery, adjusted to recovery.
Review Hybrid Blepharoplasty, upper versus lower facial surgery and facelift recovery before considering a combined plan.
