Traveling to Brazil for facial rejuvenation involves more than choosing a technique or comparing prices. International patients need a clear diagnosis, qualified surgical team, hospital plan, sufficient time in the country and a defined pathway for follow-up after returning home.

Start with anatomy, not a procedure menu

Facial aging may involve the brow, eyelids, cheek, lower face, neck, volume and skin quality in different proportions. Remote consultation can organize history and goals, but final indication depends on an in-person examination. Deep Plane, video-assisted surgery, Hybrid Blepharoplasty, fat grafting and Deep Neck are options—not mandatory components.

Planning stageWhat should be clarifiedWhy it matters
Remote assessmentHealth history, goals, photographs and previous proceduresIdentifies preliminary candidacy and information gaps
Preoperative reviewMedications, nicotine, GLP-1 use, weight stability and testsHelps reduce avoidable anesthesia and healing risks
In-person examinationAnatomy, eyelid function, scars, tissue quality and ultrasound when indicatedConfirms or changes the proposed plan
Recovery logisticsAccommodation, companion, transportation and follow-up datesPrevents rushed discharge or unsafe travel
Return-home planFlight clearance, remote follow-up and emergency contactsSupports continuity of care

Previous injectables must be disclosed

Fillers, biostimulators, threads, PMMA, liquid silicone and energy treatments can affect swelling and tissue planes. Dermatologic ultrasound may be recommended when the product or location is uncertain. Hyaluronidase acts only on hyaluronic acid and may not completely normalize chronically altered tissue.

Hospital and anesthesia planning

The surgical setting should match the procedure and patient’s risk profile. Belvivere’s facial operations are coordinated at Hospital São José, with preoperative assessment and anesthesia monitoring. No setting or technology eliminates surgical risk; careful selection and postoperative observation remain essential.

How long should international patients stay?

For major facial surgery, Belvivere generally recommends at least 15 days in Brazil, with the first week in Criciúma. Flight clearance depends on healing, not only elapsed days. Swelling continues after travel, and final results develop over months.

Concierge support and realistic expectations

The international concierge assists with practical logistics but does not replace medical care. Surgery can improve selected signs of aging while preserving identity; it cannot guarantee perfect symmetry, an exact photograph or an ageless face.

Before deciding, review the international-patient safety checklist and realistic facelift recovery.
