There are many platysmaplasty techniques described in the literature. At Belvivere, we combine multiple approaches to create a firmer, more sculpted neck.
Our main technique is central plication, which corrects platysma band separation, improving firmness.
We also perform complete platysma release, which frees up internal ligaments and improves structural adaptation. Additionally, we apply lateral traction, known as the platysma hammock, to reposition and support the muscle efficiently.
This combination creates a “muscle net effect”, enhancing support and redefining the cervical contour. The result is a firmer, more elegant neck with a harmonic projection between the jawline and neck angle — and the coveted shadow beneath the jawline that gives a sophisticated and natural appearance.

The procedure requires a small 4cm incision under the chin — the access point to deep neck structures — and a scar behind each ear for lateral platysma traction.
